At The Counseling Center, our mission is to provide comprehensive mental health support and counseling services to the Westchester community. Our center is staffed by a team of seasoned professionals, each bringing a wealth of expertise in individual counseling and consultation. We have a variety of programs designed to meet the unique needs of students, individuals, couples, and families.

Our Mission

Educating Our Community and Providing Skilled Counseling Services

Our mission goes beyond the counseling services; it includes community education and outreach to promote emotional health awareness. At our counseling center, we believe in the power of prevention and early intervention. We provide resources and programs that address a range of mental health challenges, ensuring accessibility for all, including students and those in need of financial assistance. With our sliding scale fees and commitment to inclusivity, we strive to make mental health care attainable for everyone. Our staff

Meet our skilled mental health professionals

Our entire staff is licensed and certified by New York State or accredited by their professional associations. Their talents and services include psychotherapy, marriage counseling, family and child therapy.

Virgil Roberson, M.DIV. L.P. NCPsyA

Executive Director

Virgil Roberson is a New York state licensed and certified Psychoanalyst, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Couples Counselor and Group Psychotherapist.

Jennifer Naparstek Klein, Psy.D

Clinical Director

Dr. Klein is a licensed psychologist who specializes in individual psychotherapy with children ranging from ages 10 to 18, young adults, and adults.

Kathy Cosgrove, Ph.D

Dr. Kathy Cosgrove is a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience, working with adolescents and adults in individual therapy.

Lynn Evansohn, L.C.S.W

Lynn Evansohn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults through all stages of life.

Jennifer Jordan, L.M.F.T

Jennifer Jordan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples and families facing personal and interpersonal challenges.

Janice Moore, L.C.S.W

Janice Moore is an LCSW and graduate of NYU Silver School of Social Work.

Natalie Ryder Redcross, PhD, MFT-LP

Natalie Ryder Redcross, PhD, MFT-LP at The Counseling Center focuses on challenges related to developing coping strategies, racial trauma, anxiety, family dynamics, career obstacles, and communication barriers for adults, couples and families.

Richard W. Shoup,D. Min

Dr. Richard Shoup, former Executive Director of The Counseling Center, is a psychotherapist, consultant, and public speaker.
