Dr. Pia Scaglione is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She works with adults of all ages in individual psychotherapy. Her areas of specialization include women’s issues across the lifespan, depressive disorders and perinatal mood/anxiety disorders. She also has experience and interest working with adjustment issues, managing the challenges of college and graduate school, bereavement and fertility issues.
Dr. Scaglione received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Stetson University, and her Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her internship at St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in NYC and has experience working in hospital based clinics, Psychiatric Emergency Rooms, and many years in private practice. Dr. Scaglione is an LGBT-affirmative therapist and her perspective is strength based and anti-racist. Her approach to treatment is strongly rooted in psychodynamic and relational therapy, with a supportive and collaborative style.
